Do you have experiences where women falsely believe you are hitting on them?

For instance, situations where being cordial makes her think she's getting hit on. Any interaction they receive from the opposite sex seems like a play in their minds.
It's mainly the below average looking ones at that.

How do you know she thinks she is getting hit on?

No, because they are hitting on me. Duh that's a dumb question.

Yeah, I'm a friendly guy. I was talking to someone's mom once, and her daughter thought I was hitting on her. It was pretty comical.
My wife also had a classmate in grad school that thought every guy who talked to her was hitting on her. She would wear a fake engagement ring, as if that would stop someone who was really hitting on her.

no experiences here because if they are attractive i am 100% hitting on them. Whats worse is when people, mainly at work, interact with each other of the opposite sex and they can't help but say some corny arse sexual innuendo within every conversation.

All the fricking time. I am super friendly and just randomly talk to strangers. Women often think you are hitting on them, which I am not. eta: this used to be a big problem with my wife who thought i was hitting on women in front of her. But she eventually realized that I was just talking to strangers.
What is worse is when you are nice to someone who is unattractive and they think you are hitting on them and go out of there way to try to make a connection. Super awkward.

Don't worry, the restraining order won't last forever

I generally close all exchanges with male colleagues with, "No I will not make out with you!" just in case. You can't take any chances these days.

I opened the door for a woman a few months back at an office tower in downtown Dallas and she told me my advances were not wanted.
I busted out laughing.

was the norm at work pre PC & HR, from both parties of the conversation

I work in an office where women wear innapropriate shirts. So I make a conscious effort to stare at their forehead when they are in my office. Yet they continually pull up the top of their shirt or cover themselves with their jacket during the conversation... it’s awkard for everyone.

I can be quite charming so it’s possible. But it’s not something I worry about.
Most broads don’t really know what to make of me, so I doubt they assume anything at all.

I was leaving Target one time and this woman dropped one of her bags. The guy loading his groceries next to her said let me help you miss. She says I’ve got it and I’m engaged. The guy said I was just trying to help, which I think he was

Either I live in the South where people are naturally friendly so this is not an issue, or I am not remotely perceived as a potential mate by female strangers, because this never happens to me.
