I have a friend who died rather suddenly a few years ago. It totally freaked me out to see people who didn't know she died wish her happy birthday that first year. Since then, however, people post how much we miss her on her b-day and on other memorable dates.

Now I has a sad.

Wife's Uncle, that's all.

Didn't know the man all that well but still don't feel right deleting his Facebook page.

Yes, one example of a friend who's best friend died from a lingering illness. She will post on her deceased friend's page and we will see the messages. Actually, it is heartwarming in a way.

My Dad's account. Whenever my sister or I run across a picture of him with us from years ago that we really like, we will tag him in it.
There are also three others. Two that killed themselves and one guy that I had became close with off of the old Tidesports site that lost a life long battle with sickness.

A family friend died recently of cancer. Occasionally her grand daughter posts on her wall. It's very sad.

Yes. One is a girl I went to high school with who drowned in the Gulf trying to save her nephew.

My old Army unit made a group on FB about a year after we got back from Iraq...we all joined. Several of us are gone now but the group members will never change.

I still have my dad and my father in law on mine.

Sometimes it's nice to go back and look at my dad's timeline and pictures.

I'm friends with a few people who have passed on FB. The thing that freaks me out the most is when FB tells you things your friends like in your newsfeed.

I had a friend that was killed in a car wreck last year. I'll never forget, because it was during the South Carolina-North Carolina game that I got the call. I was trying to enjoy the first game of the year and there was no way it was happening after that.
Anyway, you know how Facebook will recommend things in your feed that your friends "liked" from time to time? "John Doe likes tiger droppings.com" or whatever? Well, everyone in awhile, one from her will pop up. "Crystal likes wayfair.com" and it never fails to freak me out for a second when it happens.
