I have recently become addicted to Copcams, K9 take downs and Arkansas State Police performing pit maneuvers. The screams of perps when fur missles bite them brings me pleasure. I’m smiling now just thinking about it!

I'm addicted to hanging out by myself.

This has been my kick of late, and its shown me two things.
1) I could never be a cop. The abuse they put up with would cause me to snap.
2) Too many young women are idiots and make things worse for themselves in these situations. They believe an hour long narrative will save their arse.
Just because their dad and other authority figures fell for their bullshite doesn't mean cops will.

Absolutely
Dopamine is a key part of why people use drugs

Yeah I understand that
It's all about the reward center of your brain
But I think it also has to do with HOW that dopamine is being released
Some like getting dopamine through heroin, or xanax, or a cigarette, or a whiskey
Some like getting dopamine through sex
For me when I sit down to focus on a task my brain just goes "ok.... like.... where is the dopamine? this is BORING!" and my brain thinks around and scans around for tasks or things I can think about or do that will give me a little Dopamine bump
That's how it feels to me
I try to do a Dopamine fast every now and again
Meditating helps extremely

Addicted to dramatic women apparently. I was going for the irresistible sexy/bratty/pouty type but I end up with a romance made for doin’ time.

Its one of the reasons i avoid opiates and gambling.
What I pursue, I pursue with a passion and fully committed until it goes off the rail.

Yes, I absolutely do. When I find something I really enjoy, I become addicted to it. And I'm not talking substances, but that's also part of it.
Hobbies that have turned into obsessions in my life:
- Running - became addicted to the runner's high. Started as a way to lose weight and it turned into an obsession. Ended up getting into marathons and ultramarathons. Would run at least 5 days a week and was obsessed with training schedules, times, etc. Injury finally broke my obsession along with...
- Golf - now I'm obsessed with golf. Playing golf, buying golf equipment, watching videos and live golf. Listening to golf podcasts. I can't get enough. I'd play every day if I could. Since I can't, I'm doing other golf related things.
- Homebrewing - from about 2012 through 2020, homebrewing had me addicted to making the next great homebrew. Won some awards and was always looking to making the next one to share with friends and family. I enjoyed drinking it, but was obsessed with making it even better the next time. Or coming up with new recipes and/or tweaks to existing ones.
So yeah, I have an addictive personality.

I find I get addicted to patterns of behavior more than the actual substance itself. Nicotine, though, is an easy one for me to dip my toes in and out of. Alcohol not so much.

If we were peasants in the 1100s with fulfilling lives digging crops we wouldn’t need anything to get through the day
Instead we’re wagey in a cagey so you gotta get the dopamine from somewhere
