Nurse, y’all lose at least a year of life putting on make-up.

And you probably don’t need it/much.

Takes me longer to put on makeup. Face serum on...wait up to 5 minutes. Sunscreen on...wait up to 5 minutes. Moisturizer on...wait up to 5 minutes. Face primer...wait up to 5 minutes. Then I can finally put my makeup on(which I don't go heavy on when going to work).

Gotta keep taking good care of my skin or I'll start looking like my actual age

Gotta let every product have time to properly soak into your skin.

Or your makeup won't go on as smoothly.

I'm an infection control nurse. So it's an office type job. But I can still wear my scrubs if I want.

I don’t even think my wife wears makeup to work

I would imagine she wears some level of makeup(like a swipe of mascara and some tinted moisturizer). Most women do. It just may not look like she has any makeup on.

It takes me less than 5 minutes to actually apply my makeup in the morning(like I said...I keep it fairly light for work). It's all the skin prep before that takes up time.

When I'm going good, this is my morning routine.

Wake up at 4:45, get dressed, and get a 2-3 mile walk in.

Put on the kettle at 5:45, take a shower, and then make the pour over coffee and omelet.

Go over my tasks for the day and eat.

Sorry I do not. I got into this field long after I left LA. I do get emails all the time at work from companies looking for interim IP positions all over the U.S. Like travel nursing for IPs. Maybe look into one of those companies(don't know names).

Even though I'm retired, I still wake up between 5-5:30 most mornings, sometimes earlier.

Head to the kitchen, turn on the coffee maker, check for newspaper delivery, head back into the kitchen for 2-3 cups of coffee and wait for the wife to wake up and get ready for work.

Fix her a box lunch of food from the night before for work since she'd rather eat at the office than head out.

After she's gone around 7:45, it's pretty much do what I want but that is usually things around the house or for the house. By this time the coffee has worked its magic and it's my time in the throne room.
