They're not called maids anymore. I have a housekeeper, yes...I also have a butler and a cook/chef.
My butler and housekeeper are basically the same thing...they're just responsible for different parts of the estate.

Mine works Mon-Thursday 9-5 @ $17/hr. We pay her 1099 so we reduce our taxable income and save enough on income taxes to have it work out to be equivalent to paying her $12/hr after taxes.
Cleans, shops, runs errands, cooks dinner, takes care of animals, pretty much whatever we need help with during the day other than working our jobs.

I have a maid who comes every 2 weeks. $100 for my 2 story house.

Ours comes every other Monday. She cleans 4 bathrooms, sweeps/mops/vacuums, cleans kitchen, changes sheets in 4 bedrooms, changes bags in all trashcans, plus other things I'm sure I'm missing.
She stays about 1/2 a day and we pay her $120.

$130 a cleaning. I usually give a tip too. 4,000 sq ft house. She comes whenever I call, I don’t have a contract. If she has not cleaned our house in 3 months she will text asking if I need it cleaned. She brings three other Mexican women with her who speak zero English. Takes them 1-2 hrs. I usually offer them a Coke or Powerade for the road and they jump on that everytime.

$100 per trip. Twice a month. Clean house, wash clothes (if necessary) meaning just put them in washer, dryer. A simple folding. Change bed linen.
No windows etc.

When we had them, $85 every other week. General cleaning of 2200 sq ft house, dusted, vacuumed, mopped, cleaned the bathrooms and kitchen, and deep clean one area a visit (baseboards, blinds, tops of cabinets, outside of windows). They did no laundry or ironing. I'm the house cleaner these days but they will come for one time cleaning for $150 (larger house now).

Yuuup.
She has a key to the house and most of the time I totally forget she's coming over.
I'm always pleasantly surprised when I open the fridge and everything is completely organized.
