I used to think like you.

Then I started paying 30 bucks for my friend to mow my lawn and 60 for a woman to come clean once a month and realized this is awesome.

$100 every other Tuesday to Maria. Shes part of the family now. Speaks no English. After 4 years, we recently learned she's from Rl Salvador and we always thought she was Mexican lol

Yes to both. I've always been an advocate of not paying someone to do something I can do on my own, however I gave in on the lawn. We stay pretty busy, especially on the weekends. It's worth the $30 for the couple of hours it saves me.
Same with my wife and the housekeepers. She still cleans a lot, but she also travels 2-3 days per week. So free time is limited, and she's a neat freak. I don't complain, our house is always clean an in order. I love it, my ex was a slob. She worked part time and sat on her arse. The house was always a mess, we constantly fought over it.

I have a lawn guy and we have a lady that comes 3 days a week for routine cleaning and one that comes every 2 weeks for the heavier stuff.

I have both.

The guy who mows my yard charges $60 for my one acre yard. I don’t take any pleasure in mowing my grass, so that is money well spent in my opinion.

We have a lady that cleans our house once a week for $40. She does “deep” cleaning like dusting the base boards, waxing the floors, etc.

It’s good to have your children see you do this stuff even if you can job it out. Plus the ‘holiday inn’ cleaning you get from a maid never seems to actually help organize the house.
