I guess if you go there expecting to win big, sure.

Gambling should be considered an entertainment expense. Coming out ahead is a bouns.

Does free beer and food add into the up or down losses? Oh and free rooms too.

The casinos are making money off of someone, but those losing must be some severe social introverts because I have never met a gambler that didn't win, or at least break even,

I’m not without vices, but gambling certainly is not one. The last time I went to Vegas I didn’t bet anything.

If you have a card for that particular casino, they track it and can provide a list. If you should ever win decent it is nice to get because every bet is considered a loss but only the big payouts do they show as a win. Meaning only those wins that they have to report to the IRS. The report proves your loss so you get the taxes back. Can only show the loss equivelent to any wins though.

At least thats what I have read about....

Sorta kinda. I don’t ever get myself in a bind.

Just remember. The house always wins.

If I had to guess over the last 20 years I’m probably even or just below that.

I don’t think I’m winning.

Matter of fact. I know I’m not winning.

I started keeping track of my trips to the casino and football bets. I’m down $895 for the year. Crazy because I had a few good trips to the casino and if I didn’t have stats from my visits I would have thought I would have been even or a little ahead.

I used to keep up with it very closely when I played everyday. It is absolutely necessary if you want to really know how you're doing. Those sessions run together.

Also, they say that only 6% of poker players are winners, and I believe it. If you're not extremely disciplined, and treat it like a job, you will be a loser.

Fyi: I kept up with tipping for a few weeks during the poker boom years too. $350-$400 a week, and I'M A SHITTIER TIPPER!!! You guys need to watch out for that leak if you play a lot.

I used to win 80-90% of my sessions over a period of many years.

It's boring as frick, but it is possible.

I did the 6-7 days a week poker room grind in Laburege for almost a year straight also playing their tournaments.
Kept my sessions documented and did come out ahead.
I wasn’t making incredible money but I lived well, especially considering the free food and “weekend vacation” hotel rooms for the girlfriend, which she really liked even though we lived 6 miles down River road to the casino , lol
