My class has mostly aged well. Some of the girls look way better at 40 then at 18.
I still see a few of the women that I went to high school with. For those that don't know Monroe all that well, there are quite a few people from there that think the Earth ends at Shreveport, the state line of AR, and in Vicksburg. That is why they never leave a 100 mile radius except to go to school at LSU. I see a bunch of them out at the same old dining spots when I come home. They for the most part have aged decently. Most work out and stay in shape. The dudes on the other hand, not so much. Most of them are fat asses and bald. Kinda sad.

Made first two. Didnt go to 30th. I've been to more of my wife's than mine.

Went to my 50th about 6 weeks ago.
Enjoyed seeing some, especially those who had moved away.
Did a lot of reminiscing and listening to people bragging on their grandchildren.
Probably will do it again in another 5 years..... can’t go another 10, too many probably will croak

Sure, why not. When you’re still better looking than 95% of them and probably have a better job than 90% of them, why not pump up the ego a little more.

I graduated in 1996. i went to my 10th, my 20th and 25th last year. I think it is therapeutic to go. I disliked a good majority of the people that I grew up with in a small town but it is amazing how everyone converges towards the same goals in life over time. You find you have much more in common than you ever know.
I was '96 too, small class. Almost everyone got married and started having kids the moment they left college. It was like a race to see who could grow up and have their own family the fastest. A few of them are grandparents already. I never understood that about those people. I guess I was in the very small minority that didn't know everything at 22-24 years old.

Kind of wish I had gone to my 10th and 20th. I went to two different high schools, so I'm kind of a tweener and don't completely fit in with either school. I'll probably seriously consider going to my 25th.

Yes. I went to our 10, 20, 30 and 40 year reunions. They were all pretty fun. Class of 147 people and we were pretty tight at the time.
At the 40th I saw some folks I hadn’t seen since HS graduation day.
My 50th will be in 2024 and barring anything bad, I’ll be there.

Covid killed our 20 yr reunion which sucked. I have enjoyed catching up with old pals at the previous reunions. Also went to an all boys school.
Most guys I hang with and keep up with don't post their lives on social media so reunions actually allow for catching up the ole fashioned way.

Graduated 1980, but moved to La from Chas. SC before my senior year. Stayed in touch w my Chas peeps and ended up going to the 10, 20, and 30 year even tho I didn't graduate there.
I had a good time in high school and enjoy the people that show up. Besides, it's an excuse to go visit a great town. Sure, I keep up w lots of them on social media but that doesn't begin to compare to having a good time with other humans IRL. That's relevancy to me.

Went to my 10th, only reason I went is because a good friend wanted to go and a group of us were in town for Thanksgiving when they had it. Didn’t go to my 20th or the 25th. Probably won’t do 30 either.
Randomly, I spent about an hour that night talking to Dan Mullen. I was in the same high school class as his wife. At that point he was coaching at Utah.
I live several states away from where I grew up and keep close contact with my good friends from back in the day. Most of them live far away as well. Don’t really feel the need to go and meet up with people that I wasn’t close with. Nothing against them and hope they are well. It’s just not a priority.

My husband has not gone to any of his reunions - I went to my 10th, but not 20th.
Not sure if we will have a 25, not sure if I will go.

No, they are irrelevant in the age of social media.
