we have tons of DE. What does DE do to roaches?

You can't use DE that is intended for filtering as an insecticide as it has been heat treated. DE intended for insecticide absorbs the waxy outer layer that bugs have and dehydrates the bug.

The occasional big one but my house is pretty much one big film of pesticide.

I have a psychological terror of roaches. It's really sad how I scream like a girl and run when I see one.

Get a spray called demon and spray it outside once a month for a few months. Then once a quarter will do. No big roaches.

There's an old man locally who brags about his dog being a roacher. It is a rat terrier looking dog.

I was lying on my couch at my first apartment and saw one crawling on the ceiling. He paused when I spotted him, and I lied there for 10 seconds contemplating how I was going to kill him. About that time he dive bombs right for my face. There's moving quickly and then there's exceeding what you thought was possible. Can't stand those filthy pests. Only see one at my current place every 4 or 5 months, but if it escapes into an area I can't get him I just douse the area in raid

It really is the worst feeling when one gets away. Unsettling is a good word

shite goes down when you creep up to a roach on the wall to kill it then it starts flying around.

You even been stung by one? I've heard it hurts pretty bad but isn't serious if you are an otherwise healthy adult.

I was stung when I was about 4 living in central Texas. Don't know if those scorpions are/were less poisonous than ones in AZ but it hurt like a sumbitch. Mom slapped some meat tenderizer mixed with water on it and I was good to go after that.
