No. If you're speeding you deserve to get it in the anal cavity - especially in Baton Rouge.

They don't write the citation for "warning of a speed trap", it's usually cleverly disguised as "improper use of high beams (within a distance of oncoming traffic).

During daylight hours? How does this fly?

Making it illegal to flash one's headlights was declared unconstitutional in Missouri a few years ago. Don't remember if it was under state or federal law though.

always said if u won the lotto, or for some other reason had disposable income and a bunch of free time, I'd print up a bunch of "Spoed Trap Ahead" signs and keep them in my trunk and go post them whenever I saw one. I'm not a speeder (haven't gotten a ticket in years), but I have a big problem with places like Jeanerette, Golden Meadow etc... That use tickets as a revenue source
or you could start a crowd funding effort to rent billboard space just ouside city limit

I started doing this in SC but have found Louisiana drivers don't know what it is all about.

WAZE ftw!

i go one further. I take pics of the cop and upload it to Waze that way other drivers can actually see where the speed trap is.

The only people who still do this courtesy must be on this board Bc no one seems to do it on the highway anymore.

In all my travels (a past job sent my to po-dunk everywhere all over the southeast) I learned one thing: slow down in towns. If speed limit drops there is a cop.

I sure hit the waze button.

Driving over the speed limit is not in and of itself unsafe. It takes showing up to a DMV to get a license. The US is filled with unsafe drivers because there are bad drivers making bad driving decisions. Now, the faster you drive the more likely an accident is to be fatal and I think that is the strongest argument to be made.

It would never be done, but I would love to see a study that compiles off the road behaviors and demographics such as criminal records, age, income, zipcode, texts per month, high school gpa, shopping habits, weight, height, car age, car category, etc to things like speeding accidents, DUIs and other vilified driving habits.

Just use Waze app. Much easier and gets the warning out to more people.

I appreciate it.

But then I have to follow that vehicle and murxer everyone in it for doing that at me.

"Gang rules" & all that.

Gets annoying..and having to constantly learn the new slang and hand signs..it's like, "yo bitch..I didn't join a gang to learn sign language".
