Do you find you operate mostly from hope? from fear? from faith? from anger?

It's a beautiful Sunday morning. Good time for some introspection.
Sometimes when I read the OT, it reminds me about what Douglas Adams said of Earth in Hitchhikers' Guide to the Galaxy:
What view of the world do you usually take? Are you happy to be alive and breathing? Do you tend to think things are doom and gloom? If you are conversing with someone, do you tend to rely on the good things about your point of view to win them over? Do you prefer to point out the bad things about their point of view? Do you tend to say 'my friend ... this way has so many benefits" or "you moron ... your way is going to ruin everything?"
Most people tell me I'm always cheerful, kind of happy-go-lucky. Sometimes I'm probably annoyingly cheerful when people are feeling down or serious. But it's just kind of the way I am.
What about you? Do you dwell on the positives? the negatives? just the things that have to be done?

Everything I do is dictated by logic and reason, therefore, I don't trust many people and I'm always cautiously optimistic.

Two things my Pops always said:
"Only worry about the stuff you can help."
and
"I'm out of jail and on this side of hell, everything else will take care of itself."

I would say mainly hope with a little bit of faith and fear and very rarely anger.
I mainly have hope that people have good intentions and things will work out eventually, faith that the good will come eventually when it doesn’t, slight fear that me or those I love are gonna get screwed over/hurt, occasional anger when it happens and it’s not my fault.

Friend,
So much of my life operates from a vantage of fear: fear of being abandoned, fear of being rejected, fear of being lost, fear of failure, fear of bridges. Fear is the ghost that is always near me no matter where I turn. Through Christ, I practice, day by day, living in faith, hope, and love. Christ's sacrificial love in creation, every day life, and at the Cross gives me that grace which helps me keep those fears at bay.
Faith, Hope, and Love,

Can't go wrong with the Vulcan approach.

My mantra:
C’mon Booyow, don’t frick this up again
So, fear, I guess

That is really close to mine.
"Alright, you're most likely gonna frick it up again."
And if/when I don't, it is a pleasant surprise.
I look at it as a Realist approach to life.

I'm usually frustrated with the retarded arse people holding my country and species back. Not sure where disgust and disappointment rate on the scale. But they are constant companions now.
I used to operate our of hope (in hindsight I recognize that it was ignorance). Faith is irresponsible, that's never been an option. So, this hope meant I needed confidence in others.
I've come to realize my expectations of humanity have been far to high. Inevitably, the tards will ruin Western Civilization, and when I see evidence to the contrary I allow myself to indulge in of a short moment of hope, before remembering somebody is come around and frick it up!
Wuhan-Bat-Flu was an easy diagnostic quiz from nature. We flunked this thing big time. Now instead of graduating to a descent tomorrow, we'll have to repeat the 20th century.

Overall I've always been a pretty optimistic person.
But....I was easily swayed by anger and frustration at the injustice placed upon me in the past few years and fear and it turned me bitter for a small period of time.
Now...I'm trying to be more aware of how much I let fear consume my life and work on that and trying to operate more from hope and faith. I have to remind myself daily that my emotions and feelings can change day to day (sometimes hour by hour) and I can't let that dictate how I respond to ongoing situations in my life. Some days I do really great at that....others I struggle and the pain becomes so unbearable in that moment it is hard to see that it will pass.

How would you interpret this passage? Matthew 12 33-37
33 Either make the tree good, and his fruit good; or else make the tree corrupt, and his fruit corrupt: for the tree is known by his fruit. O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh. A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things. But I say unto you, that every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment. For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.

I stay pretty even keel and, probably, perhaps like you mention, a weakness is probably being bit too philosophical "this too shall pass" when empathy would probably be best at that moment.
I would say that I'm not that hopeful, afraid or angry and perhaps because I really have very little faith. I expect little out of any organized group of people and only a few individuals so I don't really let much really bother me deeply.
Try very hard to live by the simple idea that one may best function by "brightening the corners" where they are.

Optimist. Society may do what it's going to do but I'll survive.
