The simplistic, naive worldview.

It's either wrong or right.

Black and white.

There's no room for individuality or freedom.

Now I'm open to and believe in God, because I think the odds of all this happening by accident is just as equally naive.

I just absolutely refuse to believe that there is only one way and if you don't do it the way it says, you're doomed. Big no from me. The god in the Bible set humanity up to fail and then acted like somehow he didn't set every in motion. Free will is a cop out.

The equivalent would be me putting a gun in a room with a toddler and then telling them not to play with and walking out. How dumb does that sound?

I don't debate religion with anyone that's a fundamentalist. Once I see that it's their way or no way, I just politely tell them they're entitled to believe whatever they want and change the subject or walk away.

The people who are open to simple dialogue/debate, I'll throw in my opinion or two but I don't go too far.

The religious zealots are not much different than the purple hair liberals. Both cannot be reasoned with and try to force their views down your throat and if you disagree you are ostracized and judged by them. Unfortunately, the normal people of society are stuck in the middle of the two warring fractions.
