Do you expect a second lockdown later down the road?

Pretty self explanatory question. Will we see a "second wave"? Even if a second wave isn't strong, if you combine it with typical surgeries + flu season come late fall - hospitals will be pretty maxed.
What is your expectation? A second lockdown in the fall or no?
I hope not, but it wouldn't shock me either.

Not nationally but sure in some municipalities or potentially states.
ETA:
Mainly because rapid testing and antibody testing will be widely available by fall. We can manage outbreaks/clusters WAY more efficiently.

Depends on how long this lockdown goes. If this goes into the summer, I don't think we'll be in a position to lockdown again without serious social unrest.

My guess is no. Vaccine and/or treatment will advance before we shut down the country again.

There will be later breakouts. Hopefully people will have seen the folly of the lockdown approach by then. Absent a situation where hospitals are overwhelmed, we need to carry on. This won't ever be solved until we achieve a measure of herd immunity.

Most places are putting out plans to start reopening. I think once that happens, that's the end of shutdowns. It was stupid to begin with.

Just for the record, in the 2018 flu season, loss of hospitals were overwhelmed and we didn't do anything about it.

No, and that’s because JBE will keep Louisiana locked down until the last virus dies. Then, and only then will he lift the stay at home order. We are lucky to have someone like him in the capital building.

Not if people can exercise a modicum of common sense/hand washing. But that's a tall order for the average American who thinks 'muh freedomz' include the right to be a filthy virus-ridden bastard.

This spring would be a great time for the non immune compromised to get the virus and develop immunity so that we don't infect grandma with it in the fall.
