1. Given the problems you are having, if your doctor is telling you it probably isn't your prostate - you need to go get a second opinion. Stat. Especially since this has onset relatively quickly. This is not something to play around with.

2. If you do have an enlarged prostate, I'd agree that Flomax sucks but that's the best non-invasive solution.

3. Otherwise you are looking at invasive procedures... I'm not gonna lie to you, there will be some slight pain. In the same way that a tidal wave is a bit of moisture. Types in order of preference IMHO: TUMT, TUIP, TURP, Open. For me, I opted for surgery (TUIP). This was at age 38. It was a rough couple of weeks of recovery but quality of life is much improved.

Good luck... and again, GET A SECOND OPINION.

Lol that's a problem you're supposed to get a 50, not 35. Usually those problems are also associated with ED, enjoy your flaccid weiner

Rarely. Hell, sometimes I don't take a leak for an hour or two after I get up in the morning.

Cut out salt and fluids after about 8 and you won't have a problem.

That isn't normal, dude. I'm 36 and I haven't got up to piss in the middle of the night since 1987 or so. I would make a DR's appointment.

Agreed. I'm mid 30s, same age as a lot of close friends who aren't hesitant about talking about these things. This isn't normal. You need to go back to the doctor.

If you drink a lot in the evenings, this is not abnormal. I don't necessarily mean alcohol . Many people drink whatever almost until the time to go to bed. Like you said you probably already done this for a while. It's only getting a little bit worse because you're older. Now if you're getting up to piss, and only a little bit comes out until you feel empty, that's a different story. But you indicated you're peeing a lot.

I used to do this. Turns out I wasn't drinking enough during the day and I was loading up during the evening and night. I simply drank a lot more in the afternoons so I wasn't as thirsty at night. Problem solved the day I changed my schedule.

I keep a shirt over the clock just so I can't see what time it is when I wake up during the night.

Wake up to pee? No. Wake up to check on the kids or to change a diaper and then pee, yes.

I get up usually 2-3 times or so and I'm only 21. Always have though as far back as I can remember. I do drink a gallon of water a day though usually so I'm sure that contributes. Sometimes when I'm trying to fall asleep it's a weak stream or just dribbles but I'm 99% sure that's a mind thing because as soon as I'm about to doze off ill ask myself if I have to piss. It's a continuous cycle until I fall asleep

And no I'm not thirsty all the time

1. See GP for hemoglobin A1c and fasting glucose.
2. Take the BPH test (it can be found online). You can have BPH symptoms for non-prostate reasons such as high bladder neck.
3. See urologist. A combination of rapiflo and Cialis works for many men. Fun side effect to the Cialis.

It's not mental, it's a medical problem that is probably treatable

I'm 52 and I get up 2 to 3 times a night. I'm having some prostate problems. I'm a little worried.
