Bunch of OT ballers whose butlers vacation in the Caymans suddenly can't afford to have someone wash their own dishes for them.

Me thinks this place is full of lying poors.

We use paper plates like twice a year.

Paper plates are acceptable for large cookout type gatherings

Any other time it’s just lazy and wasteful

Which is fine if that’s the thing you choose to be lazy and wasteful about, but call it what it is

Might as well start shitting in the street and burning the trash out back. Whisky Tango.

honestly, I'm not sure we own paper plates. Will need to go searching in the pantry when I get home.

We have probably five different sets of plates, plus my wife bought fancy plastic plates for summer cookouts.

Everyone can do what they want though. I don't care. If you invite me over and you're serving me food on a paper plate I'm eating it - unless you're a shitty cook.

I never use paper plates, Unless the dishwasher is completely full, sink has dishes in it and I am feeling too lazy to hand wash

Large gatherings with like burgers and dogs, paper plates.

Probably use paper plates at the house once a quarter. Rather hand wash than deal with more trash

I can’t imagine being so mentally depressed that washing dishes is too much a burden to handle.

What does this have to do with anything?

I have 3 young kids and it’s never once crossed my mind to switch from normal plates and utensils to disposable.

I grew up with three siblings and we used normal plates every day.

Saves on water

Saves on electricity

More sanitary

Multi-functional; Indoor, Outdoor, to-go, school projects

Allows more time for earning or relaxation

Less clutter, because they never pile up in the sink during busy times

Depends on what I'm eating and when. Quick lunch? Yeah, paper plate.

it doesn’t - people are just using it as an excuse to be lazy

I have 6 kids, and we’ve never used paper plates regularly. It’s a waste. Plus we homeschool so that’s 3 meals a day plus snacks at home.

And no, we do not have a dishwasher.

Depends... mainly we use regular plates.

Every once in a while for gameday food, a quick dessert or something, we use paper.

Only time we use paper plates would possibly be an entire family function, Even then, probably not.

My pantry is full

Yes. It saves water from washing dishes so it’s better for the environment

Wasting water in the dishwasher? Our dishwasher uses about 2 gallons of water per cycle. Is that a real big waste of water to you? 2 whole gallons to wash all the dishes?

Aren't you washing all your other kitchen stuff pretty much daily? Just throw your dirty plates in there too. We wash dishes about every other day.

We use paper sometimes. Paper plates kinda suck honestly though. They're weak. But a nice grilled burger and chips taste better off a paper plate for some reason...
