When I lived in NOLA I was on adderall and absolutely had to drink everyday to come down. I have since moved back to BR and got off the adderall and found that stopping drinking was incredibly hard. I love drinking, but vodkas everyday of the week took its toll on my body and I gained some weight. I am about a month into quitting drinking during the week and have been feeling great and working out. Really hope I can keep it up.

I stop drinking after the last alabama football game of the season til mardi gras shite starts up. Some years its a longish break but recently not much of a break.

Other than that I drink something most days...

We'll get 20 random people, though it's not going to be close. You in or out?

Considering the time it takes for your body to process this amount of alcohol, you probably never drove under the limit, during this time.

I’m not claiming my day to day life is interesting or noteworthy at all. You’re the one that’s claiming yours is so interesting, angry internet person; so why don’t you tell us just how interesting your life is?

two glasses of wine each night with dinner... more than that on the weekends. i rationalize it by saying it's heart healthy. Not true I know, but i ain't ever giving it up!

If it came in a plastic bottle, then you made the right choice in quitting...

ETA: I work offshore so I go long stretches without drinking. I used to everyday when home....now I only do it every other day or two.

After 7yrs with my wife she's finally becoming desensitized to how frequently I drink. In fact, she joins in with me more often than not these days. Now I find myself looking at her and thinking that she may have a drinking problem. Nothing worse than a judgmental drunk.

You need money that bad that you’re willing to do a contest with an internet stranger on whose life is more interesting? No little guy, I think I’ll just let you keep your money.

But I love my family. Drinking is just lagniappe.

Same, but more like 5/7.

Monday and Tuesday I take off usually. Sunday is very light, like wine with dinner.

Thursday-Saturday I've got a healthy stream of liquor going into my glass

I used to. I only drink on weekends now, which has helped my sleep and my waist.

Sure!

I'm into programming, wood working and gaming. Coke and Adderall don't interfere with my performance.

The only time alcohol doesn't affect performance in one of my hobbies is fishing. But it's not even worth it there.

I'll go a couple weeks where I won't touch booze Sunday-Thursday and just in those weeks, I'll drop 7-8 lbs. It's crazy how much alcohol adds to your weight.

But man, I have a very high stress job with long hours and there isn't quite anything like a good scotch, a couple hits of a fresh bowl, and some reruns of The Office or a crossword puzzle to calm me down and shut off my brain for the night.

It's honestly impressive how Mingo can enter any thread and turn it into a pissing contest that has everything to do with him and really nothing to do with the thread's original topic.
