This is a real thing that people do? Lol there is definitely less testosterone in the OT than what your father's had. I don't know anyone who does this, nor have I ever even heard of such a concept before now.

When I brush my teeth before work I'll usually reach down and brush his teeth after as well.

Everyone I know that feeds their dogs a raw diet has never had to get them cleaned.

Start him now. Rub your finger along his gumline daily to get him used to it. Then slowly try using one of those rubber finger puppet like brushes from Petco/Petsmart. Then if you need to progress further, find a more significant brush.

My SO's vet told her if she's going to do it, she needs to brush the dog's teeth daily. Otherwise it doesn't do anything.

Supposedly, bad teeth and gums in dogs can cause serious health problems as they get older, so I try to maintain my dog’s teeth, even if I have to let the techs at the vet office do it.

No, my dog is fed a home made raw diet. I shouldn’t ever have to brush his teeth bc of this.
