I'm travelling through time right now.

Ask me yesterday and I'll tell you

What do we want? Time travel!
When do we want it? It’s irrelevant!

You don't go to jail for making good stock trades without evidence that you had insider information or a way to manipulate the information systems.
A wealthy insider that colluded with such a person would be motivated to bail a person like this out of jail and to make him disappear.
There's zero evidence he made any other accurate predictions outside of some stock trades.
There's zero evidence that these trades actually happened or that this person existed or was arrested at all.
A human from 250 years in the future would be objectively attractive and likely taller. Genetic manipulation is right around the corner.
Time travel is not possible, at least in the context of human perception.

Yes, because it takes me time to travel anywhere i go.

My ex girlfriend must've done that whenever she'd bring up random bs during fights that happened so long ago.

I think we go forward in time in a few weeks.

shite is just too illogical to me. Say you had the ability to go back in time to murder Hitler. If you indeed did and were successful, then why the hell go back in time in the first place?

I believe its theoretically possible (to move forward in time at an accelerated rate anyway), but the technology that would be required just to produce the amount of energy that would be needed is so far away that it may as well be impossible. Realistically humans may never advance that far, whether we eventually just hit a plateau as far as what is actually achievable by us, or maybe we'll die off before we make it that far.
Even if humans do one day achieve time travel, I'm not so sure that it'll be like in movies with time travelers coming from the future to visit the past. People will be traveling into the future, and they may have to stay. The science of time travel suggests that traveling backwards through time is not possible at all in the way you think.
People tend to think of time as a straight line, with a beginning and an end, but that may not be true. Time is a constant, and by definition a constant can't have a beginning or end. Which means time actually moves on such a gradual curve that it may appear as a straight line, but if you were to follow it around the entire length then eventually you would find that you had just circled around and ended up right back where you started. Meaning that the universe is actually an ever repeating loop, collapsing on its self and then expanding and starting all over again. Theoretically this means in order to travel to the past you would have to travel so far into future that you eventually ended up there, and obviously that would take substantially more energy to accomplish than simply going a couple centuries into the future.
Meaning that for time travelers, they may be stuck in the future once they go. Maybe by then they'll invent a way that even though they can't go back to their own time they can send communications of some sort back, people would essentially sacrifice everything they knew to go into the future where a problem of their time has already been solved and send that info back to help the people of theit time.
Either that or its hard to imagine time travel not turning into the immigration of the future. Since people can't return to their own time once they move forward, the only reason to take the risk would be to flee the struggles of their own era to a better life in the future like how people today flee to the US and Europe for better lives.
Its all very interesting to think about when doing it from a realistic view instead of Hollywood's idea of time travel.

My other post answers this to a degree but since its long and most won't read it I'll summarize the points as to why time travel may be possible, but why nobody has gone and killed Hitler and there's never been a visitor from the future in the past:
-Theoretically time travel may only be possible moving forward through time.
-Some physicists suggest time isn't actually linear, but gradually curves until it circles back on itself.
-So theoretically you could travel to the past, but the only way to get there is to travel so far into the future that the universe itself ends and is born again and from there you keep traveling forward til you end up back where you want to be.
So even if we ever do achieve time travel, the logistics of making it to the past just may not be feasible. Going forward 100 or 1000 years would he nothing compared to literally travelling through the whole of time itself.
To shorten the answer even more;
TL:DR
Time travel may well be possible and achievable, it just may not be possible to "go back" in time and visit the past like Hollywood always portrays.
(Unless you want to start talking about tesseracts and the multiverse, but that's really a whole new conversation)

Yes. I do. In 1969 I got into a long, metal, winged tube and flew 1/2 away around the planet at an altitude so high that it was like being in a big blue bubble. Blue above, blue below and no clouds to orient one to the horizon. When I got out of the tube, it was the 18th Century and everyone looked very Asian and toilets, running water and electricity had disappeared into the past. Oh, and people I did not know were trying to kill me.

If he travelled through time with knowledge of which stocks to purchase, he should have checked to see if they'd put him in jail for doing so.
So he is either really stupid for not considering that or simply a crook that used insider information.
