Do You Believe Evil Exist?

Take the guy in Texas yesterday who shot up a church or the Las Vegas shooter for example. I hear people refer to their acts as "pure evil". I agree in the sense they are terrible tragedies, but I don't think it is as simple as someone just being an evil person. They obviously have mental issues that they have no control over and that is just how they are wired, but does anyone think of it in a different way?

I believe you can define acts or thoughts as "evil". But I don't think there is a devil or spirit influencing someone or inside someone that makes them do "evil" things.
