Detrimental. Personally I think we are building our own demise, and unfortunately because no country trusts each other, it is basically the prisoners dilemma meets realpolitik.

Going to be devastating for many countries and economies., not sure some of the sci-fi movies about AI determining humans are the enemy is that far fetched anymore.

Yes. Young kids today are screwed. I wish people now would fight against it. As well as those Meta plants.

Neither. It will change everything we know but humans were headed for this anyway. There was never any stopping it.

The answer to AI is easy and obvious. We just need to get it addicted to social media and it will destroy itself.

Yet many humans have no problem trying to obtain knowledge from Forrest. So that's not great.

Beneficial in the realm of the sciences and technology.

Detrimental to human cognition in the masses. Most people - who are already ignorant - will become even more vapid and gullible.

I am undecided on this…if there is some framework, it could revolutionize out society and make a lot of things possible thst would have been unimaginable.

However, I think it could be used for some downright terrible things in the hands of the wrong people.

It's getting better. Consider that most kids today are graduating high-school and college with mostly AI work. I use it every day now and would have definitely used it in school if it was an option back then.

Detrimental easily. It’s what will end up turning us into brainless proles living in pods or cubes. AI will replace massive amounts of jobs and offer no alternative, widen the gap between the parallel political universes we already live in, and dumb down the general populace by flooding feeds with stupid shite (already seeing this on the OT). In time, as the world goes to hell for 99% of the population due to the above factors, more and more people will opt to live in virtual AI universes, letting them do whatever their brain desires, while in reality they are locked in a box or pod, fed by an IV and shitting in a hose, Matrix style. It will be a glorious future.
