Isn’t that what Aldis is? You never know what you are going to find there. They buy pallets of shite from overstocked companies.

Can’t help you. Never heard of Aldis, but it sounds like it.

The Salvage Store in Folsom is legit. Haven't been in a couple years since I moved though.

Picked up some mexican lump charcoal for $2/ bag there a few years ago. Best stuff I ever bought.

That is the Dollar General business model.

Kary's is legit, especially if you're in a bind.

Seinfeld has a funny bit about this involving the date stamp on milk jugs.

I ate a small pack of pecan halves the other day with my lunch. The stamp on the package said best by June/2019. They were fine.

there was/is one near Booneville, MS that I would visit once a semester. Less than $50 got enough staple goods to last months. That plus a freezer of ground venison...sheeeeeiiit

Let me fill you in on a little secret. This stuff is too. I've brought gumbo to work using this and had some tried and true real coonasses telling me how good my gumbo is:

Hand to God, tastes homemade. And so much easier than making from scratch. They have a chicken and sausage version too.

Yes I do.

I have 6 children that would probably eat the Sheetrock if I let them - so I’m always cooking and we always need snacks.

I haven't seen it, I'll have to check it out.

Exactly. The best by date was about 1.5 years ago but they're nuts...

I'll grab a jar to keep on hand just in case...
Not sure if I'll be able to find in Houston though.
