Do people wear cowboy boots to work outside of Texas?

Will I get laughed at if I try this when I move to Mississippi? How common is it in Louisiana and the other states?

I live in MS and where them to work 1-2 days a week. The others I don't simply because I'm in a suit.

Boots with slacks always bother me. Khaki pants are ok I guess. Jeans and boots are the combo to rock.

So you'll be in a suit a bunch? Wear dress shoes like an adult. People in my field wear them all the time but I'm dealing with plant baws and engineers most of the time.

Work in La and Ms and wear them everyday, nobody has really mentioned them in the 5 years. Most people don't care about your shoes if they fit the setting, what part of MS you moving to?

Highest percentage of boot wearers is Wyoming. Sure much less population, but highest percentage by far.
