Probably 80% of what we buy at Walmart is the exact same thing you'd get at Albertsons or whatever store you use. But it's 25-40% cheaper here at Walmart on average. That box of cereal or pack of coffee isn't any different.

In the area where I live, there is Matherne’s, Rouse’s, Albertsons and Wal-Mart. Wal-Mart is cheaper than those other locations for basically the same items. Wal-Mart has gotten better at offering high quality items in their stores such as grass-fed beef, brands such as Primal Kitchen, Rao’s, Lucini, Food for Life, etc. I can also get nice organic produce as well. The only other store that I shop quite a bit is Sprouts.

Walmart pickup allows all the advantages without having to mingle with the poors

Just had Walmart deliver a few items for me moments ago. I live half a mile from one, I avoid it at all costs.

I price out everything these days. I have a Publix, Kroger, WalMart, Sam’s, Costco, Trader Joe’s, and Whole Foods all within a 3 mile radius of my office in the Cool Springs area here in Franklin. On cereal, blueberry muffins, and the hot dogs my kids like I can save $10 just on those 3 items alone vs competitors.

I’d be foolish not to shop at WalMart

I loved it when it was open. No lines, good service (Filipinos) and few other shoppers. Parking lot was a snap.

But I guess thats why it failed.

I've never understood why people would go cut-rate on their food.

That Great Value Mexican Style lasagna isn't very good.

We've had it.

However, this lasagna ain't half bad.
My kids sprinkle extra shredded cheese on top.

It was actually good. Taste was a 5 of 5 for what it is. Overall probably 4 of 5 though because noodles in Mexican is kinda weird? Pretty good though.

The Apple soda not so much. Apple juice is much better. And Jarritos is much better Mexicano soda

Publix

where a three pack of teeny tiny romaine hearts are $5.99 today.

I despise Publix. I miss HEB, where the same is going for $1.89 today.

Do you have a Sams or Costco card? You would love them.

The kirkland lasagna from costco is better than Stouffers imo.

I can’t think of any reason to go to Walmart with any regularity
I went with the wife today. I bought a couple of fishing lures, some electrical tape, windshield wiper fluid, and 2 cans of spray paint. The wife bought bath soap, shampoo, 2 new trash cans for the the guest baths, 2 bath mats, bananas, lettuce, a pack of light bulbs, cat food, and some kind of baking pan.

We were in and out in 45 minutes and one stop shopping.

We’ll make a Walmart run once a month or so for chicken, paper goods, frozen food stuff, cleaning products, etc

The one on College has been going through a renovation and has been even more of a dumpster fire than usual

I get $25 haircuts at Walmart on Mondays.

I buy produce at Walmart weekly. Theirs is normally better than Supr 1's. Lately I'm buying strawberries, grapes, pears, Mandarin oranges, and bananas. Bought a honeydew melon that's great Friday. Buy peaches and nectarines when they are good.

My brother and I drove over to Ridgeland to visit some high school friends. When we were getting into Jackson, we stopped at a Walmart near the airport. We saw a kid with six fingers on each hand. My brother made the comment it was the most Mississippi thing that could ever happen in a Walmart.
