Do people ever use coins anymore?

I am legitimately curious about this. All I use is my credit card nowadays, and I'm sure a lot of people do the same. The only reason I might carry a little bit of cash on me is if on a rare occasion a place doesn't accept cards. I would assume there a few Neanderthals that do still use coins, but how many of you guys still use them?

Not very often. why do we still make pennies? They cost more than 1 cent to make and inflation has made them basically obsolete.

Lil Wayne is known to use them

I use them all the time. I tend to get the same thing from fast food places so I know how much I'm going to spend and bring enough change.

Honestly pennies need to go. Canada has the right idea there.

See a vagrant walking down the side of the road while you're in the passenger side of your buddy's pickup. Grab a penny and roll the window down. Toss it at the guy as you go by. Nothing like watching some dude get hit by a penny traveling around 70 mph. It's gonna leave a mark, and the dude will never figure out what hit him.

There are still drink/snack machines out there that only take either coins or bills.

You can throw coins at the flame holders during Mardi Gras parades.
It's encouraged.

Everyone still uses them.
You seem dumb.

In the past I’ve been known to use them to buy a fence post or two at the gas station and not one frick was given. Money is money. It’s nice to get to the point in your life when you give no shits about what other people think.

I keep quarters in my center console b/c there are a few parking meters in New Orleans that aren’t electronic yet and cell service is sometime spotty to use the app. Also use them for the street car. I like to use a $20 bill when I buy ice so that I get back 18 $1 coins. I put those and all other coins in a 5 gal water jug (about 3/4 full).
