Heated seats are one of the best inventions in human history. If you couple them with remote start on your truck, it’s pure nirvana.

Clearly you don't live in a place that gets cold, like those of us who love heated seats do.

In late 2016 I fell and broke my tailbone. Sitting for the past five years has usually meant varying degrees of pain, especially on long drives. There are not many things more miserable than not being able to get comfortable when sitting. Now imagine going almost 5 years dealing with that.
When I bought my new truck last year I started using the heated seat. It didn’t take long and the pain associated with sitting started to abate. Now, driving or not, I can sit without pain. It’s not hyperbole to say having a heated seat literally changed my life.

I like them but sometimes when I use them really early in the morning the warmth on my arse and gut makes me need to diarrhea really bad.

Love heated seats on a cold morning……..until I cross the line and it makes me have to poo. That can create quite the uncomfortable drive.

Uh...yeah. And a heated steering wheel.
Must have in Chicago.

And even better are the vehicles with remote start that turn on the heated seats and heater and defrosters depending upon outside temp.
Everything warm and toasty when you get in the vehicle.

I'm with you. I can't stand them.

My old Tahoe had heated seats and I didn’t like them because Chevrolet put the switch at the bottom of the seat between the seat and the door where you couldn’t see it while driving and there were three switches down there. Never could remember which one was for the heated seats or which way was off vs on. No light indicator and takes a while to figure out if they’re cooling off or not. I’m sure I’d enjoy them with a better switching system and if I lived up north. Don’t really need em in south LA.

Seems unnecessary once your vehicle is warm with remote start
My truck lets the heater come on with remote start but for some reason the heated seats wont. Even if they were on when I turned off the truck.
That means I just let it run for another 5 minutes or so to get everything warm before I get it.
And I dont care what little Gretta thinks about that.

Remote start is equally nice when it’s balls-hot in the summer and you can start it up and get it cooled off before you get in… Remote start is the one feature i never knew i neeed that i now love the most.. when shopping for my latest vehicle, the only two upgrades i was looking for that my last vehicle didnt have were leather seats, and a backup camera .. i found a vehicle with those, but the package also included remote start and now i wouldnt want to live without it .. i also have the heated seats which come in handy on winter road trips .

Yes, but using them too much can overheat things down there and you end up with jock itch.

Chevrolets have the worst, least-intuitive features ive ever seen.. ive had a couple of Impalas and Malibus as company cars, and every little thing took forever to figure out, and every switch felt like it would break off each time i used them…. Ive also had many Fords as company cars, and Jeeps as personal vehicles , and by comparison their features and controls are easy to figure out .

Heated, yes. Cooled- not a fan. Starts to feel wet like I pissed myself.

Yes. In January/February we regularly get below freezing. That shite is magical.

I like the thing they put in your back glass that melts ice.
