Tow capacity and tongue weight is two different things. 11,000 pounds on the tongue would snap most truck hitches unless I am misunderstanding something.

11,000 pound tongue weight on a weight carrying hitch is about 11 times the maximum design of such hitches that are available. Its approaching the max on weight distributing hitches. It is also approaching the tongue weight limit of 3 ton trucks. The 2 trucks in the video front end would not be on the ground and the back end would have been hard against the ground.

Would be cool to see a Tesla Truck towing a Mardi Gras Float full of beads and people. Not sure if it could handle a tandem float or the train Superfloat.

He has another video towing 11,000 pounds and all that happens is the battery runs out quickly.

I think from his videos the lighting made it the furthest at 130 miles.

So basically evs are shite for towing, but you can go the furthest in a ford.

This is true. Range is cut by 50% when towing in a CT

What a stupid video. That dude comes off as a douchebag.

Anyway I wouldn't buy a Tesla truck because it's ugly as shite. Although I like the other Tesla cars and they make a lot of sense as a second vehicle.

Even though I greatly dislike Elon Musk. This result is quite good.

It boggles my mind how people, even seemingly intelligent ones, are incapable of separating their personal opinions of Elon Musk and their thoughts about Teslas.

I’ve been a Tesla driver for over 5 years now. My wife has my old one. I’ve dealt with maybe a dozen Tesla employees. Some were really great. None of them were Elon Musk. I could buy a new car day for the rest of my life and never have Elon be a part of any of those transactions.

Well I don’t want to make that a-hole any richer”…well, he owns like 12% of Tesla…what’s your beef with the people holding the other 88%? And it’s very likely that some of these intelligent people are Tesla shareholders through a 401k/403b plan.

Well I don’t want people to think I like him if I buy one”…well, you’re a pussy. I don’t use that term often but you are. Or you’re a preteen girl. Either way you shouldn’t be allowed to drive anything because you haven’t reached the appropriate developmental stage for it.

Sorry for the rant. I just feel like I’m living in bizzaro world when I see/hear stuff like this.

FYI, Jerryrigeverything is a massive Dem. I wouldn't put it past him to be very biased against the Cyber truck and rig the test because Elon is a meanie head

The cybertruck has failed several abuse tests on youtube from multiple outlets. It should not be used as a truck.

No, this video is just cluck-bait by a TDS/EDS retard whose followers are equally deranged and uneducated.

Most people do not abuse their trucks. There is a large portion of society, which includes me, that does not need a full size truck but likes to have it available to them

Some of the failures have just been poor design.

I just towed my 21 foot Skeeter bass boat into the repair shop with a Ford Lightning. These vehicles can tow. Although not very far.

Some have. It isnt a perfect truck and is the only truck held to that standard. For the vast majority of owners it will do just fine. Most of the problems in the group have been software related
