No way dude. My wife is a kindergarten teacher. Kids come into kindergarten dumb as freaking bricks. Gets worse every year. Some kids have never held a pencil or crayon or even seen their name written out. These days they’re just handed a smart phone and told to go away.

Amen brother. We’ve done this 2 years running with our kids. Not because of covid but to help shrink the attainment gap between my children and other kids. Turns out my people’s emphasis on learning has caused generations of suffering.

Look dude. Kids don’t give a frick about a mask at 5. You could have them wear a dildo on their head and they’d think it’s legit bad arse fun a s be head sword fighting all day. Now eventually, you gotta teach them it’s bullshite. But do you think they’re really going to leave a mask on all day in kindergarten? No fricking way. They’ll act business as usual and take it off or wear it on their arse. They’re 5. Don’t punish your kid by making them stay with your wife all day.
