Yeah I bought a TCL for like $150. Put a cover on it when I'm not using it to help with insects and moisture, but I fully anticipate replacing it in a couple years. But I can replace it 15 times before I reach what it would cost to buy an outdoor TV. And by that time, technology will be different and I'll probably be in a different house anyway.

NO. Buy a regular TV and replace it every couple years. You’ll save 1000s. A 55” outdoor TV is like $3000, a regular 55” TV is like $500. Plus every couple years you’ll be able to upgrade to better tech

Freaking bi-polar title vs body. Reading some responses are confusing. Ha.

They do, but I'm an OT Baller in Training so I'm still a ways off.

I've had a cheap Vizio TV outside under my patio for 7 years. No problems yet.

For what it's worth, I've had a $150 tv on my patio for years. still works fine. I have several friends and relatives who have regular indoor tvs on their patios with no problems. I also know a few people who bring the tv inside when it's not being used.

Go get a Hisense from Walmart for $250. Buy more as needed every 4 years.

No, just open the screen door and turn your TV to face it.

Cheap indoor. Replace when you have to.

I'm with this guy. You can buy two cheapo TVs for out there and have one tucked under a bed somewhere in case you have an emergency need for a backup. If two of them go out quickly, then you'll know your setup is such that you probably should spring for a more rugged outdoor TV. You'll likely find that the cheapo indoor TV holds up just fine, though.

I've had 2, a 55 Toshiba and a 42 LG under my porch for 5 years. I never bring them in and they work as well now as they did the day I bough them.

I do keep them covered with just a sewn piece of cheap cloth when not in use, mainly for those foggy gulf coast mornings, otherwise they are far enough under cover where they'll never get wet from rain.

Just stock up on cheap TVs on Black Friday, replace as needed. No way I'd spend a couple thousand on an outdoor TV
