Think about it. You hear politicians talk about winning “the millennial vote”. No other generation has been in lock step like that one.
You are a dumb arse. The reason they talk about "winning the millennial vote" has to do with the fact that they are the youngest voting base and younger people don't vote as much as older people (or should I say the older you get the more likely you are to vote).
Since candidates already have their base (which is pretty much split 50/50), they have to look for the x factor to get them over the hump.. In this case it is the young voters. It has nothing to do with "free-thinking".
Most people, no matter what generation they come from are not "free thinkers" (especially when it comes to politics).. But people do change as they get older.. They become more wise.. So yeah.. You are an idiot.

The whole generational grouping is pointless
To some degree.
In 40 years millennials will be exactly like today's boomers. It's not the generation, it's the age group.
Older people always had it tougher than young people. That isnt going to change for the near future.
When gen z is working 20 hours a week and have cool new tech, millennials will put them down.

They were told to listen to everything their teachers said so parents didnt have to parent. So they did.
I think a spiritual awakening is overdue. Last one was late 80s and early 90s. People rejecting the status quo and venturing out away from security of what theyve been programmed to be.
It's easy to find success today, its harder to find peace and contentment.

This is never going to happen.

With all certainty.
Short work days/shares jobs
Universal income/negative income tax
Mechanized/high tech workforce
Working remotely.
This is the future.

No, what will happen us middle management will invent new busywork to keep people occupied. No one is going to accept paying someone a living wage for 20 hours a week

Not really. For people that come from money, sure, it's about how it's always been. But education has never been more expensive and the economic/wealth/opportunity gap hasn't been as wide in maybe a century or more. Add on to that the manner in which the federal government has given out borderline predatory unsecured loans like tic tacs for over a decade, and more people are strapped with debt than ever. The days where you can go to college for 4 years, graduate with little to no debt and get a good job and buy a house shortly thereafter are long over.
