Do employers in Louisiana use recruiting firms for engineers?

My wife receives a number of emails from recruiters via LinkedIn and INDEED.
She has a stable job but keeps up to date with listings in case a job she has targetted opens up.
Do major plant employers use recruiters for hiring?
We both have always been direct hires and have no experience in this portion of the job market.
She's a ChE
Who are the major recruiters in this area (Ascension/BR)?
Obeying the tOT bylaws...here's a pic of my wife:

Some probably do use recruiters and some probably don't. There's also a LOT of BS on linkedin as you know.

Yeap, and that's what I'm trying to help her filter through.
I was hoping someone would have firsthand knowledge of a time a recruiter actually helped someone land a job...

Wouldn't hurt to ask the supposed recruiter I guess.
Make sure it's not her current employer with a fake profile testing her loyalty. I know for a fact this kind of shite occurs.

Ok, well then, I am the leading recruiter. I would like to schedule a personal interview with her. I believe I have a few positions she'd do well with.

You haven't been in engineering long enough. Their attractiveness improves over time

I actually landed a job many years ago thru a recruiter. This was about 15 years ago though.

This is true at Mizzou.
And nice pic of Amy Adams, OP.
ETA: If I had to rank the different divisions for hot girls it would be
1. Journalism School
2. Nursing School
3. Education School

I use to work for an engineering firm that also had a recruiting department. The company started off as a recruiting company, bought out a small engineering firm, expanded and became an engineering firm that also had a recruiting department that filled jobs for companies when they had large projects and needed to do mass hiring.
The recruiting manager somehow convinced the regional president to allow recruiting be in control of all the regional offices hirings. In other words, the company was paying itself to hire fill job openings. In many cases the managers already knew who they wanted to hire so they would have to give information to recruiters, who would have to do nothing, but call the person before turning it over to the person who processed the hires. If a job was filled, no matter how little work the recruiter did to hire someone, whatever recruiter was responsible for hiring people of that disciple, they would get commission for it.
Anyway, from what I have experienced, engineering firms usually hire its own recruiter or two, who works in HR to do its hiring. When they are not able to hire someone on a recommendation they will post the job on indeed.com, simplyhired.com, etc.
Some plants do the same, some plants contract recruiting firms that work on site, but if you are asking if they turn the hires over to a recruiter that works for a recruiting firm, I am sure some might do it.. but I don't know how common it is.

The frick?
Aside from about a dozen refineries and a hundred + petrochemical plants owned by the biggest companies in the world, I guess it could be tough to get into biomed?

I know at one point that goofball Scott McKay tried to get into the business of engineer recruiting. He slid me a card at a conference here in town one time, but I already knew who he was and 86ed it as soon as he walked away. This had to be about 8 years ago.
