Because evangelicals, in general, are usually simpletons, the preachers are crooks, and the congregation blindly follows.

What percent of these dumb evangelicals, crook preachers and blind congregations are continuing to meet? I’ve got a sneaking suspicion that it’s far less than you think.

There was one in Jefferson parish, also a mega church in Florida, you are choosing not to see things for what they are.

Most likely because going to church is comforting for them.

Going to a sporting event is comforting to me. Going to a bar is comforting to me. Guess what, I'm not doing those things. Every single one of the people choosing to go to these church services is an idiot.

Two churches? Do you know how many churches there are? I’m in church work and most of what I’ve seen is ministers working their tails off to Take their services online and trying to keep up with the job status of their members to figure out how to help. I couple of idiot health and wealth preachers don’t define us all.

The preacher said he would heal anyone who got infected. So the problem is solved.

Because the OP and many posters in here are at best intellectually lazy. They also don’t want to understand or believe that most Christian churches are filled with well reasoned, intelligent and happy people. Problem is, every church is also filled with imperfect sinners, so the outward optics make for easy criticism.

The church is a refuge for sinners, not a harbor of perfect people.

Do Christians just want the world to end?

*Before you see a Bible verse and automatically hit that downvote, remember that you posed this question to Christians.
quote:

23 I am torn between the two: I desire to depart (die, be raptured, “world end”) and be with Christ, which is better (for me, as a believer) by far (since I would be in Heaven); 24 but it is more necessary for you (current unbelievers) that I remain in the body (so that God may use me as an instrument to point you toward Him). Philippians 1:23-24

Ultimately though I have aligned with my God’s patience perspective (quote below). And also, there is nothing I or other Christians can do to expedite nor to slow “the ending of the world”—that is totally in God’s timing.
quote:

The Lord (Jesus) is not slow in keeping his promise (to return to Earth to Rapture believers and judge), as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you (current unbelievers), not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance. (2 Peter 3:9)

Real Christians don't.

But a lot off fruit-cake-fringe, Bible-Belt pseudo-Christians do.

Since you guys are lifting up these two idiot Pastors up like they are the norm let me help you understand what the "typical" Pastor is doing right now. They are franticly learning the ropes of conducting online services despite having no seminary classes on doing that. Why? Because they want to protect their people. They are awkwardly preaching to empty sanctuaries and trying to smile authentically so it doesn't look like a Bin Laden capture video. They are checking on their members to see who has lost their jobs or are afraid that might be coming because when that happens the church needs to be ready to step in and help like the Bible says we are to do. They are also trying to shepherd older members whose primary social circle is the church and are really struggling with not being with other people, especially on Sunday. Our offerings are decreasing and that is scary because most of us don't pastor mega churches so we aren't getting rich, just trying to provide for our family. We aren't healthcare workers on the frontlines and we are not restaurant workers who have instantly lost our jobs. But we are fighting our own battles and trying to be a source of help during this crisis. But if that doesn't fit your angry atheist narrative that Christians are idiots and preachers are crooks, then by all means, keep pretending these two terrible pastors represent us all.
