Do bark collars work on chocolate labs?

My lab is 4 months old, and she has a problem barking when I'm away for work etc.
Do bark collars work? And which ones are recommended....

How much exercise are you giving to her on a daily basis?
Does she suffer from separation anxiety?
Is she a "well balanced" dog?

They work but 4 months old seems too young. Best brand is Tritronics

Bark collars work.
Academy sells a very good one for $50. Can't recal the brand.
Word of advice: make sure they can't get to it when it isn't on them. They will destroy it. Dogs hate bark collars because they work.

Generally, within a species, the darker colored ones tend to be the loudest and most annoying.

My 6 month old chocolate lab managed to get her shock collar off and bury it in a hole she dug in the backyard.

I'm working with "Off the Leash" trainers right now and my dog is doing wonderful.
Sit, stay, shake, down, place, off, focus, knows hand commands and waits for approval to eat. Barking is a non-issue, providing we exercise her regularly and she knows her place within my family.

Do you kennel her when you leave the house? If so, do you always make it positive when she enters?
Do you say good-bye when you leave? Do you acknowledge her immediately when you get home? If you say yes to either of these last two questions, stop and don't do that anymore.

bunny huggers will argue, but shock collars work on all dogs...the key is to set it correctly (on yourself)so that it is not too strong or too weak...
also, I do agree that your dog may be a bit young for that....
