Do any of you good folks have cork floors?

We’re having cork installed in our kitchen tomorrow.
Does anyone here have experience with it?
I’m mostly concerned as to whether the refrigerator, table, and chairs will make permanent indentions.

It’s taken me a few months to drink enough wine to make half of a cork table top ... can’t imagine what kind of alcoholic you’d have to be to make an entire floor.

floor surfaces need to be hard to last long and resist wear
what i know about cork is its great in kitchens because of non slip traction and cushioning under your feet. the wear and tear issue for how long it lasts is the issue. all products are different so that determines how long it holds up.
as someone mentioned, the day before its installed is too late to be asking this question now

I don’t think I’ve ever seen cork flooring. Wouldn’t that be a pain to clean? Sounds like a nightmare.

I’d imagine it compressed and laminated.

No first hand exp, however when FEMA rebuilt all the St. Bernard Parish Fire stations, that’s what went on all the floors,,,,,,guess if it’s tough enough for a fire station, should work in a kitchen

Yeah...it’s leed compliant and sustainable. Plus it’s easier in the feet, waterproof, and good much quieter than other floors. So a lot of gov buildings are using it.

Install a floating cork laminate 8 years ago. Fun project. But it is showing wear now and will replace in a year or two.

Living room and adjacent hallway. Gets a lot of traffic. Mine is dark shade shows every dog hair and spec of dust. Minor chore. I have kids anddogs it has held up good. I let the boxes of planks acclimate inside the house for two weeks before I installed. It was recommended by the manufacturer and from people who blogged about it. There can be some shrinkage.
