I majored in EE and worked for various contractors at plants most summers when in college. Here's something to look forward to when you graduate: you'll still be at a plant, but now you'll be salaried so once you cross over 40 hours by mid week you'll basically be working another 30 hours for free while those 'prisoners' getting bussed in are making double time.

Don't be a pussy. You'll feel a lot better when you get that first pay check.

I'm amazed that you have made it this far. Your English leads me to believe you build scaffolding for a living.

I don't understand how people compare the plants to prison. The only thing they have in common is the fence. Which is there for safety. Do you think we're forced to go to the plant? We could work at McDonald's but they don't pay $100k +. It really felt like prison on the Fourth of July when I got paid double time to BBQ. Or every morning when we cook breakfast in our kitchen. Especially feels like prison when we take a nap after breakfast. And then another after lunch. Oh and when we watch videos on YouTube. Making money the entire time. And if I did decide to quit, nobody would try to keep me from walking straight out the gate. Because it's not prison.

I thought the title of this thread was "Do all plants feel like they're in prison?"
I thought the OP was tripping on acid.

Duuuude....If all plants feel like they're in prison, do all prisoners feel like plants? Think about it.

don't worry. with a 2.5, there is not a chance in hell that current prison will hire you for a desk job.

keep feeling sorry for yourself for having to work, you pussy.

Nope. Still waiting.

If there's one thing these plants don't get into is a hurry. It takes FOREVER just to hear back from someone to at minimum, to test.

I'm seriously considering quitting this job and doing fricking delivery. At least it's a change of scenery and I won't be so goddamn bored all day.

When I was in school I would do any job I could to make a little cash. Hell I would dig ditches, paint, cut down trees anything I could to earn a buck. I even drove the Keane's Cleaners truck for a year picking up dirty laundry. That stunk. literally worse than a garbage truck. bunch of pussy little kids nowadays.
