DNA connects serial killer Ted Bundy to the death of a Utah teenager, authorities announced Tuesday, more than 50 years after her body was discovered by a hunter. Bundy has been dead since 1989, but the tally of his confirmed victims continues to grow due to advances in DNA testing. He killed at least 30 women and girls in multiple states in the 1970s, and many more escaped or survived with injuries

Investigators were able to close the cold case by making crucial DNA connections between Smith and Laura Aime, another Bundy victim whose case was resolved last April in Utah County
This is like the second or third death linked to him this year with new dna evidence. Prob has many more out there

How many murders did he admit to?

He was a sick mofo. The stranger beside me is a great book.

Believe like 30 plus but there were many girls who went missing or got killed in the area who at the time weren’t ever closed in Utah and surround region that they suspect he was involved in.

I bet his number is over 50.
It is weird though that he was so open about admitting to things at the end and describing them and didn't admit to all of the victims.
I wonder if that's just the sociopath in him feeling like he has power (secrets) over everyone. He was too smart to forget these things.

He admitted to more murders days prior to being put to death -
I also wonder if some were early on in his life and more "special" to him in a creepy way

Bundy and Israel Keyes are the ones that we will never know the real number.

At least he was captured and executed in the electric chair in Florida.
He would probably be on parole in states not in the south.

I read that it was highly suspected it was him and he even admitted it, this is just DNA confirmation so it’s not really a big deal.

Bundy’s total number has always been thought to be closer to 50 than 30 by authorities. It might be as high as 70.

This is the problem with all the mass surveillance and flock cameras we have nowadays
Back in the day guys like this kept the streets clean. Nowadays they get caught and there’s homeless everywhere
