Disposing of old paint... Where

Anyone know any sites in Baton Rouge that takes old paint cans and paint for the public. Bought a house and garage has a lot of paint cans. Looking to get rid of them

Look for a collection day. New Orleans was this past weekend.

Apparently Habitat Restore allows you to recycle year round in BR

or as previously mentioned, mix with kitty litter allow to dry and you can throw away safely. If cans are completely dry then you can throw away.

If it’s latex paint, add kitty litter and then let dry out. Place in trash can

Oil based - need to hit a hazardous chemical drop off site.

Paint all your trash with it,then you can just throw it in the trash can once it dries. Problem solved.

East Baton Rouge Parish Environmental Services Department of Recycling is holding its bi-annual household hazardous collection day Saturday. May 18th.

Something small..just pour out into a grass field. Mother Nature knows exactly how to handle.
