What a shame. Kimmel had one of the best late-night talk shows in history. Unbelievable what this country has come to.

People voted for this unfortunately.

ABC pulled Kimmel because too many local stations have made the decision to preempt the show with other programming. Nexstar was the final straw for Kimmel when they announced pulling the show from 32 of their ABC affiliates. ABC would lose their asses in advertising revenue

ABC pulled Kimmel after the FCC chair publicly said that ABC had to fire him or the FCC would start investigating ABC. You don’t think that was a pretty big factor?

The real “facts over feelings” crowd will have no trouble admitting that a psychopath with a gun killed Charlie Kirk, not the entire leftist population.
Based on studies, 6x more progressives, compared to conservatives, believe violence is justified with political disagreements.

You progressives have a serious problem.

You’re repeating an incorrect narrative again.

I can explain the facts to you. But I can’t make you put aside your idiocy to understand the facts. Nexstar got Kimmel taken off the air…..not OMG ORANGE MAN BAD.

I don’t know a single real human who wasn’t horrified by what happened to Kirk. The only people I’ve seen cheering are anonymous bot accounts or people who are too terminally online to be functional members of society, which is an issue here as well. Talk to normal people sometime, and stop pretending like this is all a big game of checkers.

On the other hand, the loss of revenue from affiliate stations and associated advertising has a real impact.
Exactly, look at the map, it’s mostly red. These stations answer to their viewers. I think companies are realizing the economic power of Twitter isn’t greater than the conservatives.

Poll, not study, I guess.
quote:

The Sept. 10 poll shows the more liberal respondents were, the more likely they were to say violence can sometimes be justified.

A quarter of respondents who identified as “very liberal” said violence can sometimes be justified to achieve political goals, along with 17 percent of those who identified as “liberal,” 9 percent of moderates, 6 percent of those who said they’re “conservative” and 3 percent of those who identified as “very conservative.”

Progressives have a “revolutionary fantasy” violence problem.

Dozens of real people have lost their jobs for spewing celebratory social media post. College vigils have been interrupted. Going through life with blinders on must be difficult.

It was also after 9/11, the titanic sinking, and the fall of the Ottoman Empire. Irrelevant timing is irrelevant.

The FCC was threatening Nexstar with investigations. And even if they are….so what? What does ABC have to hide so much that they have to avoid an investigation? You really don’t fully understand the scope of the argument you’re trying to make.

Once again….i can give you the facts…I just can’t make you understand them. It’s obvious your heels are dug deep into this narrative.
