He didn't mandate it because it's not something he could mandate at the federal level. There's no authority to do so, and more importantly state and local governments are better able to respond to their localities (when not focused on virtue signaling).
But you knew that and are just playing your bullshite gotcha game again.
Never once did I bring up liberals in my comment. Unless you're saying only liberals are petty tyrants. But that's on you.
Republicans like Abbot are just as much to blame for this bullshite.

I didn't even bring up Trump, the person I was replying to did. And my response was in no way defending Trump. It was laying out the reality that these mandates came from state and local officials.
He tried to blame the actions of the petty tyrants on Trump. I corrected him.
They could have just as easily told Trump to take his guidelines and shove it.
But again, you knew all this.

I know, but I think everyone knows it's going to close again with the current "wave" or surge in cases - especially in Florida. If they closed in the spring then why would they not close now with worse numbers? I get why they wanted to reopen and support that decision but to remain open now when they were closed before makes no sense when looking at it from their perspective in the spring.

One thing to remember is that the Disney parks in Asia are not solely owned by Disney. The one in HK has a majority ownership by the government.
