are the Marvel movies considered Disney?

No, they're Marvel but Marvel is owned by Disney

For example, 21st Century Fox is also owned by Disney and so is the Star Wars franchise but neither The Simpsons or Return of the Jedi are "Disney"

quote:

Keep the storyline simple
Much of the recent "angst" against Disney is that they've done just the oppositeThe whole princess in distress, loses her parents, theres a villain and a prince saves the day is gone. Started with Frozen and has done nothing but gain steam since then. That movie just hit at the exact right time for Disney for this special storm of bullshite they've been putting out and it's a major reason for the contiued Disney + failures.

Then changing the theme here makes sense

They've been doing this for years...taking an attraction and retheming it to IP's.

Great Movie Ride to Minnie and MIckey's Runaway Railway
Maelstrom to Frozen Ever After
Illuminations to Epcot Forever
Who Wants to be a Millionaire to Frozen Sing Along

Song of the South has been "controversial" for a while but more fueled when Disney cast it out to the island of misfit toys. because they frowned away from it maybe 20 years ago, THEN it drew more attention.

Like with Runaway Railway, I don't have a problem with a Princess and the Frog attraction but I would have preferred something in addition to what was already there not retheming of an incredibly popular attraction, regardless of if was WOKE driven or not.

I don't care about their political or idealogical reasoning.

Rockin' Rollercoaster was probably my favorite ride when I went about 10Y back.

There are a few better roller coasters there now. Just went with the family during spring break. Tron and Guardians of the Galaxy roller coasters are pretty legit. The Guardians of the Galaxy one might be the best one I've ever been on. Not typically Disney people or theme park people in general, but was surprised to see legitimate thrill rides gaining traction there.

Or even next door at universal.

I don't get this at all. I went to Universal 2 years ago and most of it was just virtual reality junk with a little motion built in. Only really 2 "rides" that I can think of.

There are something like 32 rides between the 2 Universal Orlando parks. At least 5 of them are coasters that I can think of. I think you might have missed something.

Universal has a few rides better than what WDW has but from a resort comparison, it's nowhere close to WDW and outside of those few attractions that can compete with Disney they have very little readability appeal or even opportunity.

Oh, I don't disagree at all. I'm just pointing out that to say Universal only has 2 real rides is not true.

Agreed, though I was really disappointed in Tron. Neat concept, fun ride…..just seemed way too short. Guardians of the Galaxy was absolutely incredible from beginning to end and is probably my favorite ride.

I haven't had any desire to go to Magic Kingdom in a while. The other parks are better now.

This destruction of Splash Mountain makes me even less likely to go.
Why on earth would any adult have a "desire" to go to Disneyworld?

The only reason to go is to make your kids happy.

Why do people have a "desire" to sleep in a tent in the woods or get shitfaced before a college football game? It's what they like to do. Let them do it.

This is a pretty big one. There’s so much more than just rides to that you can have fun at any age. If you go in with a miserable attitude, more than likely you’ll have a miserable time.

Tons of reasons. You even mentioned one in your post:

The Bayou themed restaurant is a huge hit on the Disney cruise as well as the princess.

I'll still make fun of them for dorking out over G-rated movie characters.

And they are free to make fun of me for camping and doing other adult shite.

We have friends who spend $20K going WDW twice a year. We tease them about it to their face.

What has the world come to that adults can't make good-hearted fun at each other? Is "Disney fan" a protected class now?

The "I hate Disney World" crowd is completely filled with people who refuse to try to have a good time at Disney World.

Great golf
Some really, really good dining
Great transportation system
Nostalgia
Great spas
Nice pools
Water parks
Shows
Shopping

Rides are only a fraction of what Disney World does and in honestly, it's not even what they do best.

Drinking and eating around Epcot is fun as an adult especially during food and wine festival.

It's mostly people who have made their opinion largely based off what they've heard and read from others or are just miserable people to be with anywhere unless they're in their "happy place".

Talking a baw out of his deer stand or off his boat and it just sucks...doesn't matter what it is.

It definitely makes more sense for families but there's still tons to do for adults and it offers the same things other places that adults go to all the time.
