This. The Splash Mountain story didn’t make any sense but it was a water ride with a big drop and catchy tunes. This is just an improved version of that.

Admitting you can’t understand a children’s story is a weird flex.

That would be a more authentic addition to the ride that is supposed to be on the west bank

From the look of the video, they'll have to wake you up before the drop.

People can go to their local/regional six flags/cedar fair type theme park for better rides than Disney. Or even next door at universal. The themes/characters are what makendisney what it is (along with the pristine grounds and helpful attitude of all workers…I mean characters)

We do have Mount Driskill with a whopping 535 feet of elevation and 226 feet of prominence.

Makes me kinda teary eyed.

I do enjoy the recently renovated Space Mountain, centered around the Nature Boy.

The reality is literally the opposite…

And other than a shite plot for the “new” ride, it’s obvious that the DEI Justice warriors just wanted black-wash the ride as a 180 degree middle finger to what they view as stereotypical and RACIST(spoken in *triggered* speech) southern white stories/themes - they literally admitted as much.

And they f*cked it up.

LOL…

They need some live gators, hurricane force winds, and Derrick Todd Lee to make the ride interesting.

WTF? Just say you havent ridden it, rather than embarrass yourself on a message board

The attraction tells the story of Br'er Rabbit who leaves his home in search of adventure. Br'er Fox and Br'er Bear are determined to catch him. The sharp-witted Br'er Rabbit avoids a snare trap and uses it to trap Br'er Bear instead. Br'er Rabbit continues on his journey to find his "laughing place". Br'er Fox eventually catches Br'er Rabbit who uses reverse psychology on Br'er Fox, begging him not to throw him into the briar patch (represented by the ride's flume drop); Br'er Rabbit escapes uninjured

If they wanted real authenticity, the ride would immediately go around a corner and you would then get boat jacked. Then they could have you wait in an additional line designed like the sewage and water board main office.

Is there still the yodeling song at the end, that I can obnoxiously sing along to, to intentionally embarrass my kids while waiting to get off the ride?

Well, I liked the ride. Enjoyed the Louisiana theme. I find Disney’s animatronics to be nothing short of amazing.

They did but it’s not really funny. In ten years the original and all the charm and story will be forgotten. We should always push harder on allowing weak minded executives to push societal agendas

From someone who had Disney in their heart as a child, and later as a young adult (college random nostalgic trip), and again when the kids were little, so many treasured memories…

…that are dead on the vine and have been for a decade or more due to Disney’s prog shite.

frick Disney, Burn it all down.
