I have a 14 yr old Bosch dishwasher. Light will come on when trying to start, but will not run. Any ideas ? Appliance repair people are all 2wks backed up.

At least the light works. May be worth trying to save it.

I didn't think they'd let you marry them that young anymore... can she cook? If not, I agree with the posters, get a new one.

was it shutoff during cycle last time it was run?
close it and hit start a few times to allow it to pick back up in the rinse cycle.
if that doesn't work, slap your wife....i'm sure she had it coming for not washing them by hand anyway.

Go buy a new one.
I don't know. I'd try to get it fixed if I could. The ones made today are terrible. I can't think of a single new dishwasher these days that can be expected to last 14 years.
