You see you can’t just tell poor people what needs to be done, show examples of what needs to be done, or even provide statistics in what needs to be done. They are too stupid to understand that. You just give them what is required to not be poor

I often see people mentioning education funding in these threads. I don't think they realize that LA already spends middle of the pack per student on education for 49th or 50th rated schools. We spend more per pupil than any state in the South, including Texas and Florida.

Right. 9 of 10 natives didn't want the Redskins name changed, you white pussies did that.
80% of blacks want more police presence, you pussies don't want to hear that.
Looks like one group is particularly dismissive of black and minority opinion.

What is the different variable between a poor teen girl and a rich teen girl getting knocked up?

Yes because I hate the thought of equal outcomes.

Most people are poor in the US because they have children out of wedlock.
Democrats started this over 60 years ago because they knew the way to keep control of people is to keep families fractured and destroy the nuclear family.

Do the murder rate in Appalachia and then in New Orleans.

All of the leftist talk of "equity" absolutely means equal outcomes.
If you are poor in the US you get free food, healthcare, education, housing, hell even cell phones sometimes, but you are still allowed to make poor decisions and that is ultimately what continues the cycle.

But it is obviously not just about funding. I think most of us here would agree that education starts at home. I'm not at all trying to avoid that issue. My point is that there are many issues that all feed back into the cycle of poverty in a community.

Alternative activities to occupy time?
Maybe. But poor kids still have homework, play sports, and have the opportunity to work throughout junior and high school.

This is naive at best and down right dishonest and disingenuous at worst. You know good and well that this country won’t be “equitable” until there are equal outcomes.
Every child is afforded the opportunity to attend school, to work, to play sports, and to improve himself. There is equal opportunity in this country, now the outcomes aren’t equal so more government control is being pushed.

Spending on schools has nothing to do with performance. frick, Utah spends less than anyone.
You're not squeezing a PHD out of kids who will read on an 8th grade level, because that's their capacity.
The return on our education investment is criminal.

Access to information?
You are kidding right? There’s plenty of access to the information for birth control & free healthcare in Louisiana - especially in the worst parts. Plus, plenty of the teen girls’ mothers are still receiving it themselves.

Alternative activities to occupy time?
Like what? There are no Girl Scout troops or youth groups in the ghetto? You might want to check again.
This whole issue is about a lack of parenting and a lack of values - and there are plenty of whites people headed this way, too, because it’s easier than being responsible.

White saviorism is a cancer.
These people need opportunity, you'll just keep throwing money.

It’s honestly shocking that someone who would be dead if not for a gang banging thugs gun jamming would still be so woke and defend the very culture that nearly killed him.

The "Family values" thing Democrats laughed at for decades is something they cannot go back on.
They'll continue to support poverty factories.
