Does direct tv offer both cable and satalite tv?

Now that wouldn't make much sense now would it?

We just got our direct tv bill cut in half by asking when our contract was up. The guy was quick to start dropping the price

If you call three months in advance they will negotiate. If you wait too long, you have to change carriers.

Good. You're not a real OT'er till you have three satellite dishes instalked on your house from three different companies.

Directv is now AT&T so they have cable, satellite, and intenet tv packages. Directv satellite, Uverse cable, and Directvnow internet tv.

Never had to do that. I'm not under contract, and out of the blue they took $50 a month off my bill for the next year (my previous $50 off a month for the year was about to end). I moved, and I said I'd like to do the mover's advantage deal without incurring a contract... they said yes to that too. They have been going out of their way to keep me happy, so I can't help you. That makes me wonder if you've talked to the normal DirecTV people or the customer retention office (also customer loyalty department).

did you tell them you refused to sign a contract?

i've been back and forth all night with them the guy finally gave in and said he'd put in a call to the loyalty dept in the morning to get me a better offer. I refused their lame $40 off for a year.

Should I insist on no contract if/when they call tomorrow?

DirecTV sucks balls. Cut the cord. Commercial television is just trash these days. Not worth the cost.

Every time they give you NFL ticket for free, you are basically getting a new contract. And you aren’t getting NFL ticket for free EVERY year. Anytime you get a deal like that or they upgrade equipment, it’s just agreeing to another contract.

I'm not agreeing to anything. No new contract.

These are the only people you should be talking with.

Haha, it doesn’t matter if you agree or not. When you alter the conditions of your current contract, that institutes a new contract. Go ahead and call them, you’ll see.

Sorry but I just saw this reply. Hopefully you figured this out already, but you need to call the loyalty department (aka customer retention) yourself.
