My contract has been up for about five years now. I threaten to leave each year and they always take $25 to $40 off each month plus I get NFL Ticket for free.

If you can hold out for about a month without it after cancelling they will be begging you to come back. I got the ultimate package for about $50/mth doing that.

Do you and your wife live at the same adress? Think about it for about 2 seconds.

If you've been doing this for 5 years, you would be getting free to almost free cable. I call BS.

You tarded? Bill is set to go up $40, he calls and threatens to cancel, bill does not go up.

You tried to call him out, but you are the one that looks dumb.

Oh great, so he continues to pay the same price, while new customers get better deals. Which is what the OP is clearly looking for.

Given his username, he'll agree with you after reading the explanation.

Nah. If I'm a valued customer for XX years and I see new customers receive better deals, I will call, explain to the provider that I would like to retain my service but with the added caveat of garnering a BETTER deal.

Calling and arguing to pay the same is a waste of your time. Especially when you can cancel and go to another provider as anew customer and get their deals.

I tell them to turn it off immediately and go to bed. I'll have an email or voicemail within 12 hours. Worst case you resign in your wife's name

No one is arguing this point.

Mingo was replying to your first post about getting free TV after doing this so long.

Makes sense?

No. Because that person is still paying the same. The post implied that he was saving money. He's not.
