DirecTV Contract Disputes - Call for $20 credit

Just got off the phone with DirecTV and apparently they're having contractual disputes, which is the reason they cannot broadcast the World Series or Sunday Night Football.
While it sucks, they're offering a $20 credit if you call. Wanted to share with anyone else who may be missing out.

Its not a contract dispute. Its the baton rouge fox and nbc affiliate having issues. Dish, Directv, and over the air antenna are all out.

For anybody experiencing issues receiving our channel, we apologize for any inconvenience this is causing. Our engineers are doing everything possible to fix the problem.
There has been discussions on the Saints board all day about this. If you have Cox or UVerse you are good.

Yeah, who here would take $20 over being able to watch the games? Once they get the contract dispute resolved, you can start worrying about whether there are too many clouds.

There is no contract dispute. Fox 44's equipment sucks so bad they can't even broadcast over the air tv. They need to lose their FCC license over this.

I believe it is a coincidence that Fox was out also. Seems to be a contract dispute for Directv customers

Jesus people, its not a contract dispute. That link was about some NBC station in Florida. Its not coincidence that Fox is out also. NBC and Fox are the broadcast by the same company in Baton Rouge and they are having issues.

I called directtv just now. After us talking about it and her (manager researching it) she is also telling me it's a local thing. The message on the screen wouldn't say technical difficulties if it was contract.

I called them earlier...frick them. Calling eatel tomorrow.
Missed the 8:30 game, the saints game, the night game, and the World Series. Usually I wouldn't care too much but on this rainy arse Sunday I had nothing else to do.
