This channel has been out for months but hasn't really been a big deal. But now that the Saints season is coming up its a fricking issue since the majority of their games are on fox. All those frickers are telling me is that they are working on it. Anybody got any insight?

Off topic but Fox broadcasts of NFL games have consistently had shite video quality for some reason.

My buddy told me yesterday that the Birmingham CBS affiliate is also affected. Uh, SEC anyone?

Digital antenna and you can catch that for free over the air.

It's ABC and the CW in Memphis, so that's what... the Texas-LSU game?

Oh... and Ole Miss-Memphis.

IF you live 35+ miles from the 'broadcaster'...an antennae will NOT work well !

Their problem is DirecTV. Dump them. You will not be sorry.

L.A. CBS is also out. Nothing like the station and the cable company screwing their consumers.

Just don't join the ones on breakfromcable.com. Channels available are in continuous rotation so what you're watching this week may not be there next. Also, they do not invoice so you have to re-up every month. Thankfully last month they sent an email and SMS letting me know my subscription was due.

Walmart sells small, cheap antennas that will easily pick up 50 miles away. Seems like anyone with cable would have a backup antenna for local channels when cable goes out, especially football fans.

Good digital antenna from amazon - $28

PS Vue w/ sports package (includes redzone) - $60/mo

ESPN+ - $5/mo

All you need for football season (if you live in your team's market)

When you factor in the bundled internet pricing, then lose that discount when you kill DTV, you don’t really save anything by doing this.

I live between Denham Springs and Watson. Purchased this antenna from Amazon, mounted it in my attic, connected it to the coax system in my house (5 tvs) and I pick up all BR stations and on a couple of my TVs I get 2 Lafayette channels. It all depends on the quality of the antenna and the TV receiver.

They are just trying to match the video quality with the quality of Joe Buck's commentary.

I take it your Fox station is owned by Nexstar. They also own the CBS affiliate in Birmingham, so it’s been out for well over a month. If they think folks are mad now, wait until people miss football games.

FYI, if you call Directv, they will send you a free over the air antenna that connects to your box and can work with your DVR (so you can record from the over the air stations). I did this, but unfortunately could not pick up the CBS station in Birmingham.

Saints mgt. using CH44 outage to leverage additional tax payer funds from legislature. Or possibly manufacturing an issue for JBE to fix just prior to election day.
