Not meant for the money board - has anyone actually ever seen this card?
I worked retail and never saw one of these bastards.

My mom had one in the 80s.
Still around
But only in the US as a Mastercard. So not still around I guess.

I think it was one of the earliest credit cards. It use to be a status symbol in the 60s, 70s, and 80s. I think they’ve been bought out though. Not even sure if it’s still around.

I was issued one as a corporate credit card some years ago - completely worthless cause most places didn’t accept it. Had to use my own cc and get reimbursed. But I did like to put it on the card tray so people knew I was a balling - then get the “I’m sorry, sir, but we don’t take this card”

I remember these most from the 70s. A quick look at your link shows the the US cards are mastercard now.

They became part of Discover, but still somewhat separate. I saw them frequently in the late 80’s and into the early 99’s.

I remember seeing them in the 70s. I also remember seeing the Mr. Bol card.
It doesn’t seem that long ago when any salesperson had to actually call the credit card company to get approval and then they swiped the card through a manual machine.
In the not so distant future, there will be very few people who remember these.....
Or especially these.....

I had one as a corporate credit card, then I had to travel internationally for a year. The only hotel the corporate people stayed at was a run down Hilton resort that did not take diners club. I got a Hilton Amex and finished the year with well over a million Hilton points. This was like 20 years ago. We switched to regular Amex at some point.

I’ve got a Rambler Automobile Owner’s ID car of my old man’s at work in in my desk drawer from around 1965.
I might eventually post it here if I think about it next week.
ETA: the card is actually “at my work” not “at work” other that it continues to exist.

I had one in 2007. But I think it was a Diners Club Mastercard. So no issues using it.
Company Issued for expenses.

Arthur Anderson gave those to its employees at least until the late 90s. Had one of the best rebate payments at the time.

A bit of as spin off, but I rarely see Mastercard anymore. All Visa

Ha! Been a long time, but actually had a Finer’s Club at one time. It was a great card for travel at the time.

Oddly enough my corporate card is MC. Agree most other corporate cards I have seen are Visa with a handful of AMEX.
I had a DC card as a corporate card back in the mid-2000s. I tried to buy office supplies at Walmart once and they didn't take it. When the world's largest retailer doesn't take your card, that shows how useless it is. Our DC cards were converted to MC (still had DC branding on them) around 2007.

I had one for work in the late 00s. It was a visa or master card. Got great points I think.

When I was working at a retail store and someone handed me an Amex Black Card. First and only time seeing it, it was the heaviest card I’ve ever held.

In the 70s and 80s it was accepted far more than AmEx in some parts of world, especially South America and parts of the Far East. Far better to deal with too if you had an issue. Their customer service was exemplary.
