Did your school show Channel One News?

Every classroom had a little crappy 90s mini tv installed above the chalkboard so we could watch that 10 minute channel one news “broadcast” in the mornings.
I thought about it today because we used those same tvs to watch all the local and national coverage on 9-11

They were greasing the palms of school principals. In exchange for airing the broadcasts, they gave schools kickbacks like new TVs and other equipment.

Yes. My high school got it in around 89 or 90. I remember them pushing a somewhat liberal agenda even back then
