BR needs a MLB team,
unless you think Mark McGuires demise would affect ticket sales

BR doesn't qualify for a MLB team due to not having a loop

Yes, rode on it with my mother and had the following conversation:

Mom: Gee, I would hate for this thing to break, the gondola would fall in the water and we'd drown.

Me: I don't think you have to worry about drowning if you hit the water from this height.

Mom: Oh, well, that's OK then.

Yes was 8. Our school had some sort of sing along or play. After we did that we hung out. Went back with family from up north and rode it again

A few years after the fair, Blaine Kern bought the gondola in hopes of making a fortune using it as a daily commuter transport system to and from the east/west bank.

It failed miserably and Blaine lost a good bit of money on that deal.

The only thing I remember about the Fair is that the Space Shuttle Enterprise was there, the gondola, and that the entrance had a mermaid with starfish over her nipples. That's my only 4 memories.

He deserved to lose money if he was dumb enough to think that would work.

The tower thingys were left standing for a long time after. They looked cool.

Yep. We parked on the West Bank and rode it to and from the fair. I heard about all the times it would get stuck, but don't remember that happening to us.

I still have my ticket stub. No idea why I saved it all these years.

Looks just like this one:
