satan's tablet.

i swear i thought i finally figured out how to draw something besides a rectangle and then i would reach a corner and stare at the 2 little wheels trying to wrap my brain around which way i needed to twist them at the same time to get the line going the way I wanted anddddddddddddd it went the wrong way and screwed everything up.

I used to have a dukes of hazard thing that you put over the screen and had to move it along a dirt road. That part was clear so you could see if you mess up. When you removed the cover the shape of the road was supposed to look like something else.. Not once was i ever able to draw that thing the right way.

But could you make your slinky walk down a staircase like the commercial? Yea, I couldn't either, nor could any other person I ever knew...

The only thing I could do was draw what I called "a tunnel". You start in the middle and make a small square, then draw another one a little bit bigger and the next bigger than the other until you have used up all the space.

I admit that I became rather adept at it through long hours of practice in the backseat of the family car driving between Metairie and Paragould to visit my grandmother, my Momma’s sisters and brothers, and my cousins. There and back at least twice in Summer and sometimes for Thanksgiving and Christmas.

My Dad’s purchase of it for me was a genius move. The backseat was as silent as a tomb.

No to etch a sketch. Yes to rubiks. I keep one on my desk and solve it a few times a week to help me remember the algorithm
